What we look at

The complete physical and golf-performance picture.

Not only about performance

Build capacity for golf.

Physical resilience, injury prevention and golf-specific capacity matter. Return-to-golf support is progressive golf-specific physical training after injury or a longer break and may complement advice from healthcare professionals.

Every golfer starts differently

That is why every individual PlayLonger programme starts with an individual Golf Body & Swing Assessment.

From physical capacity to swing efficiency

The body influences the movement. The movement influences the swing.

A physical screening helps show what the golfer’s body is able to do. Sportsbox 3D Golf then helps show how that capacity is expressed in the actual swing — including pressure shift, ground interaction, pelvis and chest movement, sequencing, arm movement and club movement.

Rapsodo MLM2PRO connects the movement pattern with clubhead speed, ball speed, launch, spin, carry, distance and shot consistency.

The Kinematic Sequence

The Kinematic Sequence describes the timing, order and rotational speed of key body segments and the club during the downswing. It is one part of understanding how the golfer creates and transfers speed through movement.

Beyond rotation alone

The assessment also considers how the golfer uses the ground, shifts pressure and transfers energy through the body and into the club. This helps identify the next priority for training.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

What happens during a Golf Body & Swing Assessment?

The approximately 90-minute Golf Body & Swing Assessment begins with your golf background and goals. It then examines mobility, rotation, balance, stability, strength, power and golf-specific movement. TPI screening, Sportsbox 3D Golf and Rapsodo MLM2PRO may be used to connect physical findings with swing movement and club-and-ball performance before individual priorities are defined.

How does PlayLonger connect physical training with golf-swing analysis?

PlayLonger connects physical assessment, swing movement and club-and-ball performance. TPI helps assess mobility, balance, stability, strength, power and golf-specific physical capacity. Sportsbox 3D Golf helps measure how the body and swing move, including pressure shift, ground interaction, sequencing and the Kinematic Sequence. Rapsodo MLM2PRO then measures relevant clubhead and ball performance. These findings help Åsa identify the most relevant individual training priorities.

Do I need to be an experienced golfer?

No. The Golf Body & Swing Assessment is suitable for beginners, recreational golfers, competitive players, women and men of different ages. You do not need a low handicap or a technically advanced swing. The assessment starts from your current body, movement, golf experience and goals, so the priorities are relevant to you rather than based on a standard golfer profile.

What should I bring to my assessment?

Bring comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, suitable training or golf shoes and the golf clubs you normally use when requested. It is also helpful to bring any relevant information about your current training and golf goals. If previous injury or healthcare advice affects your activity, share only what is relevant to safe golf-specific training.

Do I need an assessment before joining a PlayLonger programme?

Yes. An Assessment is the starting point for every individual PlayLonger programme. It establishes your physical profile, movement priorities, golf goals and relevant performance measurements before an individual programme is created. Individual PlayLonger FLEX services may also be booked separately where appropriate.
